Manic Monday Mask Review: Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

Everyone dreads Mondays for the most part right? I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that says ” I looove Mondays!” haha. So after a long work day why not go home and pamper yourself with a mini facial? I’ve passed up trying this mask a few times because it calls for a 20 minute wear time. For most of us twenty minutes is a long time, there is usually not enough time in the day to complete everything you put on your “to do list”.  And sitting around for 20 minutes for your mask to dry is usually not one of the things on your list!

On a Monday after work this forces you to sit down and relax and do absolutely nothing, well maybe you can start prepping dinner or read your mail. For one, it is a peel off mask, for it to peel off correctly it needs to be completely dry. Secondly, it is extremely black, so you won’t be outside small talking your neighbor.

The Manic Monday mask of choice is the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. It runs about $34 for a 2.8 oz size.  Best of all its for ALL SKIN TYPES : Normal, Oily, dry, Problematic. This mask was designed to detoxify, purify and brighten the skin. Because its packed with all these amazing things once the mask is removed its duties are to minimize the appearance of pores, firm the face, exfoliate, removes excess oil, and reduces inflammation.

It is packed with all the right things to get your skin glowing

Vitamin C: helps with brightening, minimize hyper-pigmentation caused by sun damage, fighting free radicals, and fine lines and wrinkles.

Witch Hazel- A natural antiseptic that tightens the skin and works as an anti-inflammatory.

Calcium Montmorillonite clay- discovered in France containing 67 minerals. removes toxins, oils and excess dirt from the skin. It also soothes and conditions the skin.

How to use:

* Apply an even layer to clean, dry skin.

*Avoid eye area, eyebrows, hairline and lips

* Leave on for 15-20 minutes or until completely dry

*Gently peel off mask from outer edges

*Rinse off any residue with warm water

* Follow with toner and moisturizer

* Use once or twice a week

After trying this mask I was extremely impressed. My skin was definitely brighter and tighter after removal. The one thing I did not enjoy was the pain when peeling off the mask around my hairline, and around the peach fuzz that we do not usually see. Man did it hurt! But I admit, it was absolutely my fault. It clearly states in the instructions “AVOID eyebrows, hairline and lips” I also enjoyed the mask because my skin is slightly sensitive, there was not much redness or irritation , and best of all a few days later there was not any break out.

This is my skin below after removal of the mask, bright and tight.Image

If you are in the market for a mask that is going to bring that glow back into your skin, I would suggest trying this Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. If I could give it a rating out of 10 of doing what it says its going to do I would give it a 9. If you are worried about having sensitive skin and you don’t want to commit to a full size just yet.  Head over to a Sephora and ask for a sample to see how your skin will react to it.  It’s definitely worth a try.

Manic Mondays at the office will drive you crazy, but theres nothing better than going home and pampering yourself with a mini facial.

I am glam.

I am gluttony.
